Needle Scaling
To effectively address heavy rust deposits we offer needle scaling services. Heavily rusted vehicles need this service to ensure proper application of Woolwax®. If we feel the vehicle requires needle scaling we will discuss it with you beforehand for approval.
Undercarriage Washes
We offer a regular wash service for muddy/dirty vehicles as well a salt/brine/chloride neutralizer wash option to neutralize all those nasty corrosive chemicals.

If you would like to avoid purchasing a wash, we recommend that you run your vehicle through an undercarriage wash and bring the vehicle in clean and dry . If a vehicle is found upon inspection to need a wash we will contact you for approval prior to washing.
If the vehicle is brought in wet / ice packed / muddy / dirty and or needs a wash it may need to sit to dry for 12-24 hours to thaw and dry. We may refuse dirty vehicles due to time constraints.
Spare tire carriages are notorious for breaking so we ask that our customers remove they're spare tire and bring it with them. Spare tires don't have to be removed but it is recommended to achieve better coverage.
Lastly, please remember this is a NON-DRYING product.. this means you will not be able to paint over it without complete removal and if there is anything you would not like coated please request that these items be taped off before your vehicle is protected.

ADDITIONAL FEES/SERVICES:
Woolwax Black® - Woolwax black starts at $199 added additionally to the base clear price above and is a great option if you are looking to conceal rust/imperfections and get a cleaner look. Woolwax Black® is more expensive because more product will need to be applied to ensure no color gaps and it requires additional time and prep work.
Masking /Taping off Prep - $100 per hour.
Needle Scaling - $100 per hour.
Regular Wash - Muddy / Dirty vehicles start at $100 per vehicle depending on size.
Please plan for your vehicle to be unavailable for 24 to 48 hours to allow for proper drying and prep time.
Salt/Brine/Chloride Neutralizer Wash - Starts at $150 per vehicle, depending on size.
This wash is recommended in the winter/spring. Salt neutralizer washes effectively remove salt, calcium, magnesium, and sodium chloride residues from your vehicle's undercarriage, eliminating the need for scrubbing. It's designed to tackle sticky additives commonly found in deicing products. This process is crucial for getting rid of salt buildup, especially in hard-to-reach areas. Please plan for your vehicle to be unavailable for 24 to 48 hours to allow for proper drying and prep time.
Commercial / Fleet Service - Fleet undercoating can be provided on site or at Black Hills Undercoating depending on your individual needs and fleet size. We hold current South Dakota Class A Commercial Driver's Licenses and are fully insured for possible pickup and drop-off services. We can accommodate after hour and weekend services to undercoat your fleet during operational downtime.
Pick Up/ Drop Off Service - We encourage you to drop off your vehicle at Black Hills Undercoating free of charge. In the event that pickup/ drop off is more convenient for you we are here to help! A $30 fee will be added to vehicles within a 20 mile radius of the Black Hills Undercoating location and must qualify for pickup/drop off services. Vehicles outside our 20 mile radius will be charged the base fee of $30+ $1.00 for every additional mile over 20 miles. Example : Pickup in Spearfish is 45 miles from BH Undercoating --$30 base fee (20 miles) + 25 miles @ $1 per mile= $55 total. If you are interested in this service we will discuss vehicle qualifications during appointment scheduling.
